Just point and shoot at any wall or ceiling to determine how much paint you’ll need to cover the room, how much carpet you’ll need to cover the floor, or how many square feet the house offers the buyer. The Marksman emits sound waves that bounce off walls or ceilings and back to the unit as it measures distance. A pivoting head makes it easy to take measurements from many different positions–a great feature for work in tight areas. A selectable display shows measurements, and a memory chip stores measurements so there’s no searching for pen and pad or trying to remember all those numbers. To estimate room area, just point and click at two walls. Estimating the volume of a room is easy, too. Simply point and click, first at the ceiling and then at two walls. A calculator feature lets you calculate and store square feet, volume and room depth for easy reference. The Marksman displays in either metric or standard measurements. Measuring distances up to 40 feet, the Marksman also emits a laser dot so you know exactly where the sonic signals are hitting.
